Friday 20th August. Mike Shea and John Buckley landed nine sea trout. Daniel Claris and Alain Behar (France) caught three sea trout with Vicent Appleby.

Thursday 19th August. Tom O’Shea reports three sea trout fishing with Mike Power.

Tuesday 17th August. John Mason of Portugal caught a 4lbs grilse and a sea trout with Vicent Appleby. Guests fishing with Sylvestor Donnelly caught two sea trout while Sean and Liam Brick caught three sea trout. Another boat fishing out of Neil O’Shea’s reported seven sea trout for the day.

Monday 16th August. One report, Neil O’Neil caught six sea trout for the day fishing with Neil O’Shea.

Sunday 15th August. I start with the sad news that Robert Wasmuth of the UK passed away earlier this week. Robert was a regular visitor to Waterville. On behalf of the Waterville Fisheries Development Group I would like to extend our deepest sympathy to his family and friends.

Saturday 14th August. Bob priestly found a dry fly pattern in Copal bay worked well when he caught two sea trout in the afternoon.
Good catches to report on the Butler Pool. Michael O’Suillivan and a guest landed a 4lbs grilse. Dr Tim Gleeson landed three grilse ranging between 3.5 – 5lbs weight.

Friday 13th August. Early morning on the Butler Pool produced a 9lbs salmon for Mike O’Dwyer.
Clients fishing Terence Wharton snr caught six sea trout. Dan Sugrue had two sea trout with Brod Suillivan as did clients fishing with Bob Priestly.
A group of anglers fishing out of Frank Donnellys reported ten sea trout for the day.

Thursady 12th August. A difficult day on the lake when trout did'nt seem in the mood. A couple of fish were moving in the evening time but taking short. Tom O'Shea reported one sea trout with a client.

Wednesday 11th August. Bob Priestly on the first drift of the day landed a 5lbs grilse. Bob Wiley caught four sea trout fishing with Neil O'Shea.
